60 minOur signature class. A grounded vinyasa, long holds, breath leading shape. Suitable for every body.

A small studio on West Street. Two rooms, eight teachers, a wood floor that has heard a lot of breathing. Come once. See how you feel.
Our practice
Hollow Sun was opened in 2017 in a converted dye-works on West Street. The original brick is still here. So are the long west-facing windows that, in spring, throw light across the floor for about twenty minutes before sunset. That hour is our favorite class of the week.
We teach a thoughtful, slow-moving practice. No mirrors. No music with words. No leaderboards. Our teachers learned in different lineages, but they share a habit of speaking quietly and watching closely. Beginners are welcome in every class on our schedule.
If you are returning to your body after a long time away, or just looking for a steadier hour in your week, come and try us. We are easy to find.
West Street, late afternoon.
What we teach
Every class on the schedule is open to every level. Our teachers offer the same care to a first-week student and a ten-year practitioner.

Teachers
Our teachers are trained in different traditions and have been teaching for an average of nine years. They are the reason students come back.
Founder · Slow Flow & Vinyasa
Mira opened Hollow Sun in 2017 after ten years teaching in Tokyo and Brooklyn. She is interested in what holds a body together over a lifetime, and in the small adjustments that let a long practice stay possible.
Slow Flow & Sound
Anders trained in Stockholm and Mysore. He teaches a quiet, grounded class and plays the monochord for our Sunday sound baths. He bakes the sourdough on the bench by the door.
Fundamentals & Slow Flow
Lila teaches the kind of class that makes you realize your shoulders had been near your ears for a decade. She runs our Fundamentals series and our teacher training.
Vinyasa
Noor moves quickly and laughs often. Her flow classes are the ones to take when you want to leave the day on the floor and pick up something lighter on the way out.
Yin & Restore
June is a licensed acupuncturist and our resident Yin teacher. She is patient with stillness in a way the rest of us are still learning from. Her Tuesday evening class is a quiet ritual.
